Hummingbird (part of the MFA Thesis exhibition) is a video piece that explores the notions of division and flatness of the material frame / border of the screen as object and metaphor. A seemingly trapped hummingbird navigates the surface of the screen without ever penetrating it. The work poetically suggests the relationship status between nature and technology, and, at the same time, acts a metaphor of the possibilities and unlikelihood of access of an itinerant, foreign body in a screen bordered landscape.
